ZEITFORM - Folded Plate Stair, the cult classic among the
folded plate stairs. It is the only timber folded plate stair which
needs no supporting wall. Other than the anchorage on the bottom step
and on the top step, it requires only 3 points of fixation, in order to comply with
the requirements of the building inspection certificate of approval (ETA). The ZEITFORM
- Folded Plate Stair is, therefore, an almost self-supporting construction. It looks as if it was just floating
in the room like a marionette. It leaves plenty of room for creativity and hence is a dream come true for any house
constructor, architect, designer or interior decorator. As well as being epoch-making and innovative, the ZEITFORM Folded Plate
Stair has a sensational design. It was awarded the Design Price of the Upper Franconian Artisanry in 2004, followed by the Bavarian State Award
in 2008, the iF-product design award in 2009, and now it has even been nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2010. With the
ZEITFORM Folded Plate Stair, artisanry breaks even with design, and design in turn almost comes close to artistry.
This staircase system allows creating sculptures.
